CAVALIER FENCER, MATIAS ENCISO GETS BRONZE MEDAL FOR MENS' EPEE AT CANADA GAMES IN PEI​
Congratulations to Taylor Smith for her bronze medals in both Cadet and Y14 foil and congratulations to Matias Enciso for his gold in Y14 épée. All at the Alberta Cup #1 in Calgary. Also a big shout out to our coach, Misha Sweet, for being in the top 8 in the senior foil at the Canada Cup #1 in Vancouver after an 18 month break in training.

Robert Hornford
​
Robert has been fencing for 40 years,
With more than 25 years of that as a coach.
In addition, he is our armorer, a discipline he
has been involved with for most of his
fencing career. He is a board member.
(an armorer is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing and rebuilding weapons and all the other hardware and electronic equipment used in fencing)
Our foil coach
Misha Sweet
Misha has been fencing for 17 years, 8 years of that as a member of the Canadian National Fencing Team. He has been coaching for 10 years in English and French.
He received a bronze medal at the Pan-American games in Lima, Peru 2019
